How do I scan a QR code without a camera?

What kinds of codes can it read?
Links, plain text, Wi-Fi credentials, contact cards, email addresses, phone numbers, SMS, map locations and two-factor keys. The result is shown both as a readable breakdown and as the raw contents.
Why does it say no code was found?
The image is probably too small, too blurry or too cropped. Use the original file, keep the whole code in frame including its quiet border, and avoid glare or a steep angle. Very low-resolution screenshots are the most common cause.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The picture is drawn onto a canvas in your browser and decoded locally. It is never sent to a server, which is also why the tool works offline.
