Plain English, because that is the only kind of terms worth writing. By using btools you agree to the following.

Using btools

btools is free to use for personal and commercial work. You do not need an account, and I do not take a cut of anything you make with it. What you process is your business — I neither see it nor want to.

What I ask of you

Do not use these tools for anything unlawful, and do not try to break the site or hammer it in a way that spoils it for everyone else. Beyond that, use it however is useful to you.

Your files are your responsibility

Because everything happens on your own device, you are the only one who can lose anything. Keep a copy of your originals, and check the result before you delete or overwrite the source. I cannot recover a file for you.

No warranty

btools is provided “as is”. Browsers differ in which formats they can encode, and an image tool may not produce exactly what you expected. I work to make it reliable, but I cannot promise it will always be error-free or fit for a particular purpose.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of btools — including lost data or lost income. Keep backups, and treat the tools as a convenience rather than a guarantee.

Changes

I may update these terms as the site changes. When I do, I will update the date at the top. Continuing to use btools after a change means you accept the revised terms.
