What this tool does
Turn a JPEG into a multi-size ICO favicon. The original image proportions are retained, and transparent padding fills any unused area of the square icon.
How to use it
- Choose a JPEG photograph or graphic.
- Select the sizes to include and check how the image fits inside the square preview.
- Download the ICO containing all selected sizes.
Understand the controls
- Size selection
- Choose from 16, 32, 48, 64, 128 and 256 px. The file includes one PNG-compressed frame per selected size.
- Transparent padding
- A wide or tall image is centered without distortion. The empty part of each square remains transparent.
Example
Crop a photo close to its subject before conversion. Tiny favicons have little space for fine detail, especially at 16 × 16 px.
Files and limits
JPEG uploads are limited to 15 MB, 8192 px per edge and 32 million pixels. The output format is ICO.
Frequently asked questions
Will the image be stretched?
No. Its proportions are retained and transparent padding fills the square.
Can I choose several sizes?
Yes. All selected sizes are included in one ICO file.
