Understand the controls

- Transparent pixels are flattened against this color before JPG encoding. White is a practical choice for light documents.
- Quality
- Higher values retain more visible detail but usually produce a larger file. Check fine text and edges after conversion.

Frequently asked questions
What happens to transparent pixels?
JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the background color you choose. White is the default.
Can I convert SVG to JPG?
Yes. The SVG is rendered at a chosen size and rasterised to JPG. Vector shapes become pixels, so use a high quality setting.
Is HEIC supported?
Not in the browser. HEIC, TIFF, PSD and camera RAW formats need server-side decoding, which is on the roadmap.
